hey guys

ive got an a plus engine that im sticking in meeni, im wondering about the wiring for the electronic ignition. i cant remember how i had it on the race car its got a yellow and white wire and a black and white wire coming out of it, where do they go? are there more wires i need?

From the module the red and blue wires go to the dissy pick-up, black is earth, white is positive & coil positive (via ignition switch), white / black trace, coil -ve & tacho (RVI Type).

thanks. but ive only got two wires coming out of mine... red and black that go into a plug, out of the plug comes the white and black and white and yellow wires.. :? i sense fun

The info above came from the factory metro W/S manual. I think that it is for a lucas module. It sounds like yours might be the Aldon Ignitor module. Any chance of a pic?

Yeah, it is a Lucas one, but I don't have reliable info on it. I'll look in to it.

I have the wiring diagram in my computer for that one (somewhere)

but i can tell you that both wires go to the coil,,, & if it don`t work one way round then it will the other way round

lol thats easy.. i actually brought up a pic of my old race engine just now and saw it went to the coil, all i gotta do now is zoom in as to which goes on pos and which is on neg.. how hard can it be :lol:

right, try white-black to negative and white-yellow to positive side first.

hee hee,,, funny enough i think it`s the other way round,,,even tho our aussie looms would suggest Blk/whte goes to coil Neg
