I once changed the sleeves on an 1100 (R10?) ...too easy (as long as you have a nice steel rule to check deck height when plonking in the spacers)...how the hell the likes of Watson ever got them to handle is beyond me tho

Just thought i'd introduce myself, I'm AJ the owner of theblackmini.com
Not much on it other than our cats at the moment but it'll be full of images and the such of my mini resto.

Just got my mini back on sat which i'm happy about, what i'm not so happy about is the fact that it has been sitting in a flowerbed for the past 2 years.

Oh well, time to set off a few bug bombs to kill the creepy crawlers!

I used t own Merlin the 1978 Mini Clubman when I lived in Sydney. He is still around, my Dad looks after him in Newcastle.
I currently live in Brisbane and have just purchased a 2006 Cooper S JCW tuned Checkmate!

Hi everyone! My name is Manda. I live SOR in Perth. I have a lime green 78 mini with stock 998, currently waiting for my new plates 'McBrick'. I also have a 77 black windowless panelvan with 1100 S, a burgundy 78 Clubman S with a hot 998 (donor car). I am also building up a rather warm 1275 engine which will run about 10:1 comp with all the fruit.
My plans are to put the fresh 1275 in the lime green streeter, the hot 998 in the Panelvan, the stock 998 in the maroon clubman (to sell) and take the 1100 S and rebuild for backup! All in my spare time.......
I have had minis previously but after some racing experience in other cars I have decided to build something a little special and return to my favourite cars...MIGHTY MINIS...woohoo!
