These things used to sell for $1.80 ea at Mini Car Clinic... :shock:

IMO that's their real worth. :lol:

Yes, I remember when Paul was selling them for that and that maybe there true worth, but I'd pay maybe $5 or $6 for one......

I'm glad that my bidding could provide some entertainment and motivation for repros. This auction happened to hit while I had some extra cash. (which I still have since I didn't win)

I received PM's from two of the bidders. One had told me they stopped at $350, the winner assured me he had a real 70 Cooper S and wished me luck.

Put it on eBay and find out. C'mon, you know you want to.

... and I'm sure the rest of the Mini community want to know how many can sold at that price before the market collapses if and when the Chinese copies arrive. :)

I wonder how many are still attached to old SU pumps (via the plastic tube) that were ditched in favour of electronic versions (e.g. Facit)? There may be a few in the old SU pump bin at some Mini wreckers.
