Forum polls on age are very swayed by the fact that many older people don't use forums as much as the younger people.

It would be interesting to get these kind of facts from the car clubs and compare to the results on here.

I could see that would be so.
If any one had figures or even estimates from their club, it would be great if you could post them here.

Got my first mini, a van, in 1974. I was 17. Had about 6 different minis until the 1980's and then had a loooong sabbatical. Got back in at 50 and am staying in. The bleeding things are addictive. Oh, and it owes me too much to sell it

I was 19 when I got my first Mini - a '64 850 - had it for 5 years then 'upgraded' to a new Morris Nomad  Second Mini was a Clubman van when I was 26 - was my deliver vehicle for my business and second car. Sold it to my nephew who blew it up in 2 weeks and scrapped it

Current restro is a '63 850 sleeper

I got my 1st Mini (a 1961 850) in 1964-65, when I was 19 or 20. I was into BSA bikes then, but got sick of getting wet.

Hi, I'm new around here but fit into the 25-40 bracket.

Been into minis since I was about 15, when a relative said, "minis, they're good cars, I used to have one of them". Can't get away from them still!

Hey Vulcan, That's a great photo in your avatar. Could you post a

{thread hijack}

Don't know much about the photo to be honest, it's in Pedr Davis' book and he just labelled it "A mini on the rails somewhere in outback Australia".

Being I'm a train fan as well it's a good pic for me to use :P

Anyway, here's a larger version (sorry quality poor)

the VMCI membership secretary puts membership stats in each newsletter, I think there was somethting recently about the age of the membership cohort, perhaps someone who keeps the mags could help - I throw mine out after reading them

I'm a minogamist...

Only ever had 1 Mini which I bought when I was 17...

Have had a couple of Mini Metros (in the UK) but they don't count?

Wife has just said she thinks it would be less hassle & cheaper if I had a mistress rather than a second Mini... :D
