Oh for sure, any box will break when it cops a hiding!! No doubt about it. Perhaps this particular car is a lemon?? I know she dosnt drive it hard and its still running stock boost. But its always breaking the box..?

I wonder how the FJ20 sizes up to the SR20?

Are you legally allowed to put a 2L Turbo in a mini? i thought around 1.6L was the max?

From what i've read the SR20 was big and heavy and indersteery in the Pulsar let alone a mini, look at the other cars it was used in, 180SX, 200SX, they aren't small cars.

I like the idea of the bike engined FWD mini that was mentions...big revs and squential box = fun 8)

Yeah you would be right considering the Mini is around the 620-630kg mark, multiplied by 2.5 for a forced induction engine.

I was told 1.6 turbo or 2.0 natural by my engineer. And there wouldn't be much room to get a decent inlet and itbs between the engine and bulkhead. but if you could get the block lined down to a 1.6...

There is another guy in Vic doing that. See http://www.16vminiclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20148
Some serious custom work on this build

Id like to sit in a comfy chair quietly, drink tastey alcoholic beverages and just watch this guy work.

Well he describes that he will be making a set of extractors for it so maybe it's going to be n/a (until its registered....).

See, told you it could be done in a morris
