Hey Brad do you ever do any work?

You seem to be on here at some weird times.

What did you think of the racing yesterday?

Think i might try and build a race car.

No.

I'm a member but their events seem more directed at the older/social side of things.

As I'm antisocial and just like driving quickly I'm thinking about joining HRCC instead.

Well organised, approachable club, though. Good if you need historic rego and invaluable for advice.

We were next to you guys! We took off to Skybury for a few hours for some lunch and you were just leaving as i came back from seeing Steve, and a couple of other guys down the other end. I see Stuart didn't make it up there. We'll have to catch up soon with some of the other guys and form a NQ division of MOCQ so we came have some events and runs up here!

Will give you a call in the next couple of weeks. My car has to be on the road and tuned in about 7 weeks for a wedding! Hope to have it going in about 4

Ben

Brad, if you are looking for a CAMS affiliated club to join to run the sprints, then the local motorsports club, FNQ Motorsports is the club you will neeed to join. Membership is $30 per year, and is done this way to support the local club. I have the contacts if you want.

Thanks for the support yesterday, you and Ben, shame you couldn't get into the pits. Finished 6th overall of 23 cars, pretty happy with that. Finished in front of Evo's 7 & 8, Celica GT4, R34 Skyline, WRX and Datto 240, 260Z's. Only 2.5 sec off the fastest time for the day, done by a seriously quick R32 Skyline GTR from Townsville. Was beaten for 1st place in Class A (up to 2000cc) by 2L Datto 1600 by .02sec.

Next time, 13th June, should be good, as there is time to be had in the chichane, the 4 hairpins and flipflop on the straight. Might even give the Skyline a run for his money.

Hey Steve,

Yeah I see there details on the NQMP website. Sorry yeah I thought you finished 5th looking at the results. So close with you and that 1600!!! I didnt think it was that quick?? That GTR the last I heard was making 347awkw...

I just had an email from Lauren this morning, she was there to apparently?? She is looking for a Mini shell to build up into a sprint car!!!

Yeah Ill be at the next race to!!! Needs to be a bit more advertising to get some more spectators there!!!

Ive got some footage off my phone that I will upload when I get access to decent internet...!

even though you are in Cairns this might be of interest from time to time or if you move.

very good events.

i don't understand why the MOCQ is not CAMS affiliated. Frustrating.

Two reasons

one being that with all the runs that are organized not a lot are
motorsport based but would still need to be run as if they where
(cams co-ordinated )

second reason is that over the years there has been alot of people
whinge that the club doesn't do enough motorsport ,so a couple of
years ago a couple of us lined up a few things to do and asked for
volunteers to help organize and run the days and got a very minimal
response to both even got only a handfull of people that where interested
in doing the events

so in the short of it all not enough people willing to help out
