Got tailed by an 88 volvo wagon with a milo tin exhaust and hideous alloys. (wtf?)
Continued to entertain him then lost him around a round-about when he nearly rolled trying to keep up lol..

Sewed buttons onto my seatbelts so the clip doesn't keep falling to the bottom.

Rebuilt another Oz rack for a Mini shop.
Topped the 1360 up with oil- it used 500mL of 20W/50 last weekend to do 400km.
At least 1/2 of it's going into the clutch.. and oiling the underside of the car.
As for the rest- 50,000 miles was probably enough for the bronze guides (with 1.5 rockers).


1360>1412 transplant time in 2 or 3 weeks.

gaped all the compression rings, found the oil rings are incorrect, called the supplier, correct ones now on the way.

yesterday: raced it (2nd in motorkhana behind Rod Shaw in his clubman, 1st in khanacross)
today: dropped the kids off at school and drove it to work

Life is a little sucky at the moment with work and having to do house stuff (chewed about $1000 woth of mini restore funds)..

I've been way too busy to do anything to my Mini so Yesterday and today I made time...

Yesterday (Monday) Dropped head off to a friend so he could give it a damn good clean up all over, valves and all. Also washed it again as there was almost two months of dust covering her.

Today, ie, this evening started putting the brakes back together cleaning and painting as I went. Starting to look good should have the head back by the end of the week and then I can put the engine back in. Still need to buy an exhaust, tyres, some vinyl, carpent and Sound deadener stuff..

arrived at home, realized it was too dark(lights broken), cursed winter & went inside
