See if that was Castrol Edge you would have thought twice before spitting it out.

For the price you'd think twice about spitting, I'm sure

hi everyone,

i know this is a can of worms, but i am about to run a new engine in and wanted to get everyones feedback. i will be running the runin oil for about 500-800kms.

what are your suggestions for running in oil? Brand and visocity?

what do you suggest for standard use oil after running in? Brand and viscosity?

the engine is a daily driver, freshly built. i will be using a non-friction modified oil in mineral form. no synthetics.

Thanks

just like you said, any non friction modified oil in mineral form. no synthetics.

use whatever you can get the cheapest. dump it out in 500kms and use the absolute best quality oil you can afford to replace every 3-5k
