Hi all,

After a long long search, I've been lucky enough to pick up miniMACHINE's '67 Deluxe. While I'm still sorting out pickup as the funds go through, can anyone offer any advice on who offers a good deal on comprehensive insurance?

As a footnote, I've followed this forum for YEARS and I'm absolutely beside myself that now I can really join in. Discounting the fact that I had a BINI for a while, I've been waiting for this for as long as I can remember. Big thanks to miniMACHINE for letting her go!

Wow, nice car. I've always used Shannons BUT I've never had to make a claim so can't really comment on the full extent of the service.

Shannons are good, also there is a company that Doogie recomends and uses but I can not remember it at the moment.
That Mini was 'drmini in aust' wife's car.
Good to see it looking nice still.

i was with shannons but switched to lsv (used to be vigil) .excellent service when i had to make a claim.

I hear it's all pretty schmick underneath. Anything more you can tell me about it - spec wise?

Shannons hands down. One pretty big claim (about 5k vandalized car claim) and other things like replacing windscreens. Never an issue at all.

I use LSV insurance, they were nearly $1000 cheaper than Shannons for our 4 cars on a single policy, never had to claim with them. They are underwritten by Wesfarmers, they own little things like Coles & Bunnings, so i think money is not a problem.

Shannons (and maybe others, I'm not sure) offer a laid up insurance policy where if the car is not going to be driven, but you still would like it comprehensively ensured, then it is safe. With a call you can change it to normal driving, and back again when you need. Its ridiculously cheap.
