Hi guys,
im thinkin of buying a mini van and putting a 1275 in it.
from my understanding, vicroads have no problem with this as long as the engine was an option.
as far as i know vans didn't come out with 1275's ????????
if anyone can shed some light on this or have registered a van with 1275 through vicroads
that would be a great help
cheers ryan

Your both correct.
Like Simon said just bolt it all in and register it for what it is.

But technically the rules (in QLD at least) state that if it was not a factory option for that make and model then it needs a mod plate. However depending on the year of the van you could argue both were available at the same time so it could be ordered from the factory with a 1275, but it was never an option.
I guess it comes down to how exact you want to be about it but in reality they don't care.
