Its confirmed, i am retarded!

had a play last night and today and got it all setup right. i did some research on youtube and google on ring fitment and found the correct procedure for assembly.

when i first put it all together a few days ago i felt that with the 4th ring fitted i was unable to compress them in the ring compressor and they felt wrong. but i just assembled them incorrectly.

so its all sweeet, they are fitted and the pistons are in the bores, and everything is as it should be. printed off some diagrams and schematics of how the gaps are to be set in relation to the piston aswell so all that is sweet.

Here are some piccies. i assembled the rings from left to right.

Pretty happy with the final result, onwards and upwards! 8)

this picture shows the new oring rings fitted. oil ring and 2 side spacers. the groove isnt deep enough to fit the supplied tension spacer. but as i said my mechanic confirmed the oil ring would work without it.

this picture show the old rings taken out of the piston. very different designed oil ring. but still 3 piece.
