Hey Everyone,
I have recently been looking on the forum and noticed that people are converting K100 BMW cylinder heads to run on a mini engine block.
I know of a mate who is willing to sell me one and was wondering, other then the head itself, what else do you need from the K100 engine to get it going.
For example, do you need the computer from it and anything else.
Any information would be much appreciated and helpful on how other people have gone about this conversion.

Cheers
Sav

Hi

do a search in "engine conversions" for TheMiniMan as author.

There are several threads that will have relevant info for your question.

As far as I know (and remember) you can run the engine with a mini dizzy and a variety of carbies (quads, twins or a single) or you can use the BMW computer and throttle bodies for it to run as-well. But ideally an aftermarket computer and efi system will give you the best power, tune-ability and economy.
