Ok, I need to find the switches that belong to my empty holes in my centre dash control unit... Sounds simple hey!

Apparently not!!!!!

No one seems to have seen my unit before so I'm terribly stuck...
My mini is a GENUINE 78 Sunshine... (I've checked!)
Here is a picture of my dash vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

hmmm... not that you've pointed that out... :x
Looks like the um..... "guy" who owned it before thought he'd make it a little more unique?!??

Damn it! Thought I was special

So much for trying to keep its value as a Sunshine.

I think I have just a Facia panel hanging around in the shed somewhere with no extra holes in it.. If you have no luck send me a message and I'll post it to you. "If" I can find it (BIG "If"), not been having much luck finding stuff I need right now out there.....

I would chuck that switch panel in the bin and start again. A sunshine should have a press button for the sunroof only, that other big hole someone has cut into the panel. most likly for an early ign switch as the one on the colume has stoped working at some point.
Im sure someone can post a photo of what you switch panel should look like, eg Craig (Watto) Watson.

Like 850man said, the Sunshine should have a round hole for the sunroof button and it should also have a small green rocker switch for the heated rear window.

I agree, I had a 1275LS with the same type of sunroof used in the Sunshine. From memory the roof release button was on the left. That left hole I think is in the correct spot but looks a bit rough to be original. Maybe the panel has been replaced already.

A green illuminated rocker switch would be on the right (where your large hole is) if you have a factory rear demister.

If you are lucky you might find a panel with the demister hole already cut as many late minis had the demist switch (I think) including a printed demist symbol below.

I might have the correct green demist rocker switch if you need it, will look when I get home.

Actually I was wrong, I was looking at the sample article in TME on the Sunshine here http://www.miniexperience.com.au/fileadmin/filemount/mag/07_issue/Sunshine.pdf and the sunroof switch is on the right side on this car and it looks to be the only extra switch (ie no rear demister)

I guess on my LS that spot was taken by the green demist switch so they put the sunroof release on the left.

It would be well worth getting a back issue of Issue 7 of TME which covers the Sunshine to use as a reference.

see http://miniexperience.com.au/back-issues/order-back-issues.html
