Found an 850 at Kellys wrecking on Brisbanes northside today.

The plate was gone and the only number I could find was on the firewall. It was 246 (I think).

The engine was there it was an 8y motor.

Pretty sad conditon though with few parts. Starter motor was missing and I couldn't spot the box to see if it was still there.

Bit of a basket case but thought I'd mention it. They have another round nose and a clubby there but they are pretty hammered.

No camera at the time and in a rush so no.

Clubby was black, caved roof, floor missing front of the seat mount beam, no doors, no engine, twisted back bumper, floor missing. Spare boot door inside, but not off the clubbie.

2nd roundie was metallic pink, caved roof, bashed in front end no engine or doors.

850 was mostly complete but has lots of rust and a front ender as well. The motor is there with the rocker cover removed but with the car (morris plate on it). Heater tap on the block, thermostat housing missing, no starter, grass visible so the box may be gone...

If I go again I'll take some pics..

Out of interest the is a few late 50's Austin station wagons there. A40's or A70s or the like. They do look like restorers as they looked like they were there for age as opposed to accidents. They looked complete with motors and carbies and glass etc..

I have been and checked out the mini's at Kelly's wrecking yard a few months back and IMO they are to far gone to restore.

I'd agree. It is the Austin Wagons that are worth a look if you are into them. The Minis are cactus..

The black early clubby, Only the bumpers are salvagable, but he wanted 110 each for them. If your really keen the front engine bay panels werent too bad.

The 850, didnt get any pics of the whole car, about the only part i could see salvagable was the rear subframe at a maybe and the maybe the dry top arms. But not likely.

Thinking back it did look pretty good, the top didnt have any tears or anything, didnt check underneath cos i dont really need one. If someone from a distance away wants i can go back for another look and see what he wants for it.
