I build and use the 'Computer guided tracking device EvoII'

Though credits for the software go to a mate & Micros*f*

Basicly a few blocks of wood, two pieces of high tensile fishing rope, a rubber and a few rules :) And a tricky Excel sheet on a EeePC.

Next evos: + camber, + castor.

Cheers,
Jan

how well matched is the thickness of the inlet manifold to the exhaust? I had trouble with the middle one leaking because the inlet manifold too thick and the step in the washers too thin

They do match pretty good, but I will check the relative thicknesses before I fit the new LCB.

Stripped the drivers door down, ripped up all the paint from the inside, bit of panel beating, bit of welding, then realised the weather was about to turn foul, quickly slapped a bit of etch primer down, then shoved it back in the shed. :D
Most I've done in months!

Changed the oil and filter ready for the long trip at the end of the week.

Applied second coat of classic Gloss Black Kill Rust to floor put the windows up and put a sheet over the open front window. Layed the heat gun down on a couple of milk crates and it was a summers day in their. while the paint was curing I put the painted brake lines on and put the Van back down on two wheels again. Also made a rear number plate holder. Its a bit dodgy but it will do for the time being. Rear completted

Chuck some engine oil in Simon, if you really need to. My van (although only a single HS2) runs best with engine oil in the dash pot.

Put Kyaba front shocks on my hydro. Hopefully will stop car doing wheelstands when I take off from the lights! 8) Thanks to Mick, who lent me a tap to clean out the mounting holes. :D

When we had Barney with the twin HS4s and #6 needles, it had what felt like a lean spot just above idle. I was running 10W/40 motor oil in the dampers.
GR and I took it for a run up the road with his A/F meter, and found it was actually too RICH there, not lean. Just for fun we took the dampers right out, and the mixture cleared up. So I went home and tipped the oil out. Ran it dry like this for all summer and autumn, no probs.
I did subsequently put ATF in it during winter, as it was tending to be lean. Typical SU....
