Hey guys,

I have done a little bit of searching and can't find much, although I did have a look on www.elevenhundred.com/colours.php and it looks like sunset red only came out on the 850 and I'm assuming in a small quantity, does anybody else have a sunset red mini (according to body plate) and does anybody have picture of 1? (watto?)

cheers

Rohan

i think the 850 that was being restored in the Mini Experience was Sunset Red. I have seen a photo of it on here somewhere...

It looks like Sunset Red was a 1964 colour. It may well have been available on the whole range of 1964 cars.
The BMC models in 64 would have been...
Morris 850
Morris Cooper
Morris Major Elite (till Feb)
Morris 1100 (from Feb)
Austin Freeway
Wolseley 24/80
MGB
Austin Healey Sprite
(did I forget any?)

But they had a another red that was very popular. It was Carnation Red/Monza Red (same colour two names!)
I wonder which cars got which colour?
