Whats the plan for a 1360 doc?

1360 will go back in after Xmas, I just pulled it out to fix oily clutch, replace valve seals and look at 3rd gear synchro. 8)
The 1360 has more HP than the 1412, it's won 2 NA big block dyno day trophies now.
But if we have a dyno day this year I'll give the 1412 a run.

[edit] but if you want a 1310/1330/1360/1380 I can build you one. :P

Forgot to ask, why are you swapping out the 1.5's... was this the cause of the burnt valve :?:

The 1.5:1 rockers were damaged when the tip of the exhaust valve stem eroded away...they will need to be reground. The rest are fine however.

Finally put together the rest of the new door rubbers and re-assembled the R/H door. Used old scratched door glass, whilst waiting for new ones to become available from Link.

Put in Wipac quadoptics lights and new shiny headlight rims. Took it for it's first drive in 12 months, all OK, much fun driving it again!

Getting all ready for the RWC tomorrow. Unblocked the windscreen squirter's with a pin and aimed them correctly. Believe me my ex's SAAB failed on this, as one squirted over the top off the windscreen!

Changed the needle from a BAK to a BDL. Wow, what a difference it made, especially in accelerating hard just off idle, no more flat spot (big hole). :)

Washed the car, whilst my son helped me by sitting inside the car. :P

Edit: Forgot to say my MegaSquirt arrived tonight by courier, yes on a Sunday!

Dave, would you be able to post pictures of both the bracket and where you are going to locate it? I will be doing the same, very shortly as my MegaSquirt arrived by courier (yes on a Sunday) today.

Jim :)

Checked Hetty's cam timing as I believed she was down on power... I must have been smoking crack when I first put it in because it was WAY off, god knows how I stuffed it up so badly. All fixed now and going like a rocket..

For those interested, finally got RWC on the 2nd pass.

Had an intermittent tail light lamp, (fixed a faulty connector crimp), 4% water in brake fluid, (thanks to Micks help, we completely flushed and bled brakes). Headlights not aimed and the most frustrating was the SHOCK ABSORBER FRONT KIT FOR HYDROLASTIC CARS http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=34788&title= contains a lower damper pin that goes through the upper control arm, which is ~5mm too short and the nut doesn't full screw on. Solution was to remove front shocks and will get mate to lathe 5mm from the boss (middle bit that spaces shock out from arm). Return to RWC tester and they didn't even check that all faults had been fixed... go figure!

To top things off Vic Roads want to inspect car (before issuing plates) because the 5 digit chassis number (26129) is also recorded against two other non-mini cars. They are going to charge me $38.xx extra for this privilege!! They also say that they might have to issue a new chassis number. I bet you my car which is 42 years old, had the number before the others and why wasn't it an issue 18 months ago when It was previously registered in Victoria?

that's normal.... why would you go back and say you'd fixed them if you hadn't!

bugger - not sure if your car has a number on the radiator shroud or not, but that's the one to use...

Not sure, I'll check tomorrow morning. Which one is the chassis no, radiator shroud or the one under the plate near clutch M/C ?
