Well we finally got all the big end bolts undone but what looked like a good nick standard size block (1100S) doesn't look to good any more.... Couldn't turn the crank over no problems been sitting for 7or 8 yrs since i bought them. First 3 bearings all black, top rings broken and gunked up. Still won't turn over. Loosen all the main bearing caps, still won't turn, pulled the crank right out and No1, little end siezed, belt the conrod with a lump of wood so it's straight in the cylinder, push and thump but the piston's not moving! left it over nite soaking with WD40 but not looking good, hope the bores not to stuffed.
Second block (1100S) is obvious 30 thou over has been cleaned & stripped, welsh plugs new, pistons out have been damaged on top (something was rattling in their), big ends on crank look ok but will need to be measured, yet to get to the cam to check but still looks like it had a hard time as well.
Shopping list is growing, new pistons & rings added.....
Will get some pic's up during the week.
