Ok, son has just ordered the Zeemax fibreglass bonnet with the bulge, whats the rules in Vic. for fitting, are 4 hood pins legal?

I think if it's smooth fighting it's more acceptable. Generally they don't like sharp pointy things on road cars.
Depending on what year it is it may be fine, but to be sure check with your local transport dept.

Rang Vicroads today the bird who takes the calls couldn't answer it, it wasn't on her list of standard questions, have to wait for an engineer to ring me back.

for a pre-1971 car there no engineering necessary for a fibreglass front or bonnet in Victoria. Just put it on...

but understanding the spirit of the pedestrian safety rules you should put flush fitting pins on it, near as dammit same price as sticky outy ones. also helps the aerodynamics :wink:

Bonnet arrived today, has hinge supports glassed in so problem solved!
