We could try guessing what the search was for..

My guess is a better magnetic sump plug..

I have one in mine - think you need a centre pickup or it hits the oil strainer

It is to move the magnet closer to the centre oil pick up.

When you fit a centre pick up you are moving the pick up away from the stock sump plug magnet. By fitting this you are in theory returning things to their proper way of working and aligning the planets and all that sort of stuff.

In the scheme of Mini things I don't think the magnet position matters, the bits the sump plug catches have been following a random orbit until they got grabbed. It would grab em anyway sooner or later, regardless.
I do have one though, as said it only fits if you have a centre pickup.

[opens new can of worms] I swear by adding a 25mm dia x 10mm thick rare earth magnet (or 2) onto the outside of the spin-on filter, it sure does catch a lot of fine stuff in there. Stops it going round in orbit until (by chance) the sump plug grabs it.

i have one in my car.

very happy with it, works great pics up the crap.

and i find if i do an oil change, i can pull it out drain the oil put it back in &
pull a small bit more sitting on the bottom as it is so long.

i also use a proper spin on one on my oil filter, DOES not fit Fuel injection though.
