can someone tell me if i'm right with this before buying engine parts please
Engine no.99h834ajh7154
Head no.12g202
is it a 998 and is the head compatable with this block?i was going to put 1100 out of morris 1100 in it but after pulling it apart yesterday it doesn't seem such a big job to rebuild it.They are not as complicated as they look(motor/gearbox together)can't be any harder than building my 6cyl ford race engines a few years back. Thanks

Yes it is (or maybe was) a 998. But many have had a 1098 crank and pistons put in during rebuilds, so measure the stroke while the head is off.
998 = 76.2mm
1098 = 83.7mm.

Your 202 head will work fine, but if it is a 998 it's best to deck the head by 1.0-1.5mm or C/R will be a bit low.
