Nice purchases, so does the Tony in Nowra have a moke with no paint on it
If it's the same guy, yes he is a top bloke but his stock of parts must be getting low.

Not really. Race history is pretty crap compared to the other car. Was a privateer car, pretty irregular in terms of racing. I have been looking for a car to build into a race car for super sprints and hillclimbs. I figure if I am going to do all the work I may as well do it to an S. I am a bit of a perfectionist so the car will undergo a concourse resto with enough mods to make it quick enough. I will change the colour from indigo blue to black as I have a mint cond white MK2 S interior gathering dust. I have a decent budget to spend on it so will wait for feedback on Elder 7port head and fit one of those, or else the SC 7port with injection, along with decent brakes, and a decent bottom end. Have been collecting bits for years so will have enough stuff to make a good car. Everything I do will be removeable so I can put it back to standard if I need to. The car came with the original engine, and all the 69 Mk1 bits, as well as a rebuilt and modified box, rebuilt brakes, guages, heater, pretty much everything. The suspension was converted to dry many years ago so will keep it that way. I have spare konis, adjustable front and rear susp, as well as hilos. It just needs assembly

Nice...restoring it as a tribute to the former race life is probably not necessary then!! Enjoy :!: :D

I paid 5k. Might as well have been nothing. That was the asking price, I didnt even bother trying to haggle. Must be one of the cheapest complete S's for a while, considering the rebuilt brakes, rebuilt gearbox and all the parts included.
