Cooling system completed. I had 4 thermostat on the boil this afternoon :lol:
2 were 82s one was possibly a 70 or 72 but i went with a 75ish as once she gets on the road it will be Spring then Summer
Also did the wipers..but not happy the way they are sitting. (just Looked at John Smitts book and I'm missing the bottom spacers :roll:)
Also finished of the Fuel/Carb

Put in new engine steady rubbers, she doesnt chuck her motor fore and aft any more and is alot more driver friendly now, old ones came out in lil stinky chunks

Sorted out all of the bolts to put the engine back together and discovered some have not been returned from the platers AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Got a couple of new manifold gaskets for the Weber and put it on. Cables not attached yet but it goes. MY GOD it seriously sucks in some air when the secondary kicks in. Just got to get a longer choke cable and do some adjustment then it should be good to go.

cleaned and rebuilt the gearbox - now just need to torque the nuts up, requires fat bastard to hold the bos down :lol:

Found out my diff ratio is 17/64 ---- 3.7647:1 Very sad i can't Speed on the hi way without the gold thing SCREAMING it's titts off! but still fun at the lights!

13's don't really give you that much more of an OD. very minimal form a 10 to 12 to 13!

Drove the 1412 stroker down to Mini King and back, about 2 hour run total. No probs except an oil leak from the (new belt drive kit) timing case... that'll teach me to use a 20yo seal won't it! It was `new' (in kit) though... :roll:

Drove it to work because the starter died in the daily. I will replace the starter tomorrow and then hopefully sell the car, because I'm driving the mini as a daily again :lol: :lol:
