hey so the swiftune Quaife made for Swift Tune by Quaife. is already set for pot joints and requires no machining or special crown wheels bolt in.

I have contacted Swiftune and they will do the ATB at £486 excluding VAt + 50 pounds postage*cheaper the more we buy!!

what i have arranged is you add you name to the list pm details mobile full address email.

At this stage I think we should just register interest and assess numbers

If we go ahead i can handle the purchase - I appreciate I am not that well known amongst you guys, but you all pay nick directly from your credit cards and get him to ship directly would not be hard.

Who wants one then? I'll start the list, please copy and add your name.

i have emailed nick at swift tune see if he can do better then 486.

locally they are $1595.00 that is a saving of $700

from uk you can buy them for 634.50 pounds = 1,097.42 AUD then add tax gst and so much more.

we are looking at $927 landed in australia cheaper if more & no tax.

YES NO TAX..

ok so it is 50 pounds postage & 486 for the diff at the moment.

a total of 486+50 = 536.00 GBP = 927.882 AUD

www.xe.com for up to date online conversions

To be Clear it is under 1grand & will not incur any tax!!! NO TAX**

also when they ship labeled pre 64 classic mini parts no tax pre 64 parts..

i would recommend you list your name, the more we buy the cheaper it will be.

i have contacted Swift and see if we drum up 5 or 10 see what price he could do, he reckons he can drop it more.

please no piss takers or time wasters if you want one do it if not don't around we have a short window to get it at this price so be quick.

The benefits and characteristics of the Quaife ATB Limited-Slip diff are well documented.
If you want info, Google is your friend. If you want general info about fitting this unit, what it'll do for you, etc - then please ask in the main forums - let's keep this on-topic for the group purchase

the final cutoff is 30TH JULY.

Dont forget that in a group buy you will end up having to add duty and GSt because it ends up over the magic $1000 dollar mark

hey NG , i imported mine from swiftune a year or two ago , locally they were $1700ish at the time so swiftune was a good idea , when it came through customs it just went over the $1000 mark and i got hit with $325 i think tax . but ended up about $1450 all up so still cheaper than here

i think the best idea is if he can dispatch each diff to each person as i think if i was to buy 10 diff's i would pay loads on tax?

At this stage I think we should just register interest and assess numbers

If we go ahead then we need to agree someone to handle the purchase - I appreciate I am not that well known amongst you guys, but you could all pay Nick directly and get him to ship directly would not be hard.

we would be looking at $888 to $900 or there about's landed in australia.

i have contacted Swift and see if we drum up 5 or 10 see what price he could do.

Mine cost me $1200 so I bought locally for $1300-$1400 or so if I recall... receipt is somewhere...

I would caution that no matter the postage setup and the comment - ALWAYS factor in tax because you can get hit with it. So just saying - EXPECT to pay the tax, if you dont great... if you do... make sure you have the $$

25 pounds postage seems a little low, it cost me 200 to get 2 disc brake hubs shipped over from the uk.

I`m not wanting to be a stick in the mud here (or anywhere really) but,,, if one was to contact people like Lindsay Siebler & ask him for a group purchase,,, maybe one would get a decent price there too

also it would keep our Local Guys in business

i`m sure if you asked him, he`d be happy to talk turkey

It`s all good & well to buy everything over-seas because it may "SEEM" cheaper (at the time) but if that sort of thing keeps happening then there won`t be any of the local mini businesses here to help anymore ,,, & then what will you do ???---> when the bigger overseas companies realize that all the local Aust mini companies are gone, & then just put their prices up ???

yeah???

support local mini business i say

please don't hi-jack the thread, guys. thanks for the input, i have worked it you will not pay tax ( thanks pristic) im aware of this ;) it is under 1 thousand dollars.

i have spoke to nick, im just trying to help some guys save some money.

if you want to talk about supporting locals make another thread please.

but $700 or $800 bucks is a big saving simple.

i personally buy lots of things local built most my car local from lindsay & josh & mini sport adelaide & would have even been you, (matt) if i knew about you when i was buying bits ie old car that i swapped into the Van.

anyways back to it.

ok so it is 50 pounds postage & 486 for the diff at the moment.

a total of 486+50 = 536.00 GBP = 927.882 AUD

i would recommend you list your name, the more we buy the cheaper it will be.

any more info pm me, if the thread gets out of hand i'm wont bother help again.

if the local guys can do it for that price then we get it local, i would be happy too.

this is better then a LSD you can keep the same shafts etc.

im just letting you know.

swift tune ATB is made by Quaife.

with out Swift there would be no mini Quaife, it is his design to fit the mini & thats from the Quaife in a email.

i did try to do a direct buy from them but it's there's exclusive.

just so you know. just called swift will see if i can get it cheaper we have 3 so far.

EDIT* SPOKE TO NICK.

HE MAYBE BE ABLE TO DO IT A BIT CHEAPER AGAIN & ON POSTAGE

AROUND 470 POUNDS for diff and less then 50 on postage. he will try get a deal via fedex on postage as one group to australia then forward onto the separate customers. ;)

he is aware of the tax and can do it under that 1,000 mark as long as the exchange rate stays good.

I got a diff in from Swiftune in May, cost me $1400 all up, including custom/quartintine charges, i will add i got a pair of Cooper S style output shafts too.

My question to Nick is, why do you need a LSD? Are you doing motorsport? or do you just like pissing money up against the wall?
