Is the Mini horn the same?

It is almost the same. The way the contact in the top of the column sits and the way the button works are different but the layout is similar.

Does the Mini have a spring loaded contact coming up through the middle
of the column?

Yes, but it pokes up further than the 1100 one.

Ah, good. Could you give an estimation of how much further....would be just a couple of mm?

From memory about 10 to 15mm further. The plunger and spring under the contact are much longer.
