finally got the flat spot from the megajolt ignition sorted. the bracket required some adjustment to get the right tooth in front of the sensor, was about 8 degrees out!

drill here, file there, all good now! :D

Picked up (or rather my wife did as she was in the area) a new high output alternator from Convertible Mini

changed needle from BEJ to BCE. Car runs much better now! idles better, pulls harder. nice.

installed a shiny alloy rocker cover, which had to be adjusted with the dremel to clear the two cylinder head studs. looks much nicer than the bare metal rusted steel one which was on it before. My engine bay looks 'alf decent now.

Reduced my full advance ignition timing from 32°BTDC to 30°BTDC. It goes just as hard? but is smoother.
No, it didn't have any pinging that I could hear...
C/R is 10.7:1

Why don't those little suckers go in as easy as they came out!?!?!

Now contemplating how i'm going to make a new dash for her. How/what/where to freaking start  !

Listened to Dr Mini rev his donk, also checked out Pick n Pay Blacktown. Yep green moke still there was what a heap of junk! Also checked out if they had any subaru brumbys in stock...nope.
Stared at the clubby, yep battery flat again
Stared at twinky conversion, yep nothing has been done
Sorted out some exess mini parts lying around, gotta keep the wife happy sometimes. (Secret is looking for a moke but she don't know about it yet) and by pretending to rid of exess stuff im actually making room

My daughter drives our Mini K full time, she parked it outside a friends house last night, and her friends dad backed into it, putting a decent dent in the front guard and breaking the Cooper S flare. So spent the afternoon
looking at it and also adjusted all 4 brakes as the pedal was getting low.
Might see if one of these PDR guys can get the dent out without having to respray the guard and buy a replacement flare and just paint the flare.
