I usually do my own but you can try Fred if he is still doing work. Had him do a head a few years back. Was an awesome job, and not too dear.

I am looking for someone in Adelaide to do this too before purchasing. Steve Gower (Airflow Developments) used to do all my Mini (and RV8 alloy) head work on his flowbench, but he's closed his business and last I heard was working for City Dismantlers (too many people took too long to pay their bills for work done because they were hobby cars only!).

Does anyone have any stats on these heads when they've been ported and fitted to cars with the Webers. Because they're relatively new I haven't been able to find any hp or verified flow figures yet.

Be interesting to see how they stack up against a good 5 port, the other 7 ports (Min Sport, SC, Elder) and of course 8 ports.

Hickey Race Engineering have done a fair bit of work on these heads.
I was going to buy one of their finished heads - good bang for buck $$$$

The rolling road is a Maha Rolling Road, The figures where at the crank.
The losses where 13.6% so it has circa 121hp at the wheels.

how do they calculate the drivetrain losses on the dyno??

Can someone put a link to where you are getting these from please. $1400 (without carbs) seems amazing

Of the other 4 guys, who's getting who to do the porting work?

Myself.
Alloy is a lot easier than cast iron, I'll just have to try not to be butter fingered!

Ok so Ive had my 7 port (pierce) for a few months. It is getting ported ATM. Porter has tested it on his flow bench. Inlets flow 61cfm at 400' lift standard. Exhaust flows 31cfm at 400' lift standard. After he has taken out the seats and guides and reshaped them along with the exhaust ports it flows 45cfm @ 400'lift. I have no idea what other heads do , and it is probably like dyno figures in terms of varaiation between operators and machines. But the exhaust is now flowing 73% of the inlet which is a great improvent from 50.3 % standard. Well done to him!

Cheers.
