Well least Kevin B made use of the crank key  I wasn't counting on it being useful... It would make a really good doorstop

yeah - I picked it up tonight, pleasant surprise. Thanks chong, will save a lot of hassle trying to get another one.

Made up for the bad news - I thought my gearbox would be able to go back in without any work. When painting it last week, I turned it upside down. When I turned it right side up, there was a piece of metal on the floor. Took it to Kev's tonight and he found a stray piece of metal wedged (sort of) under the crown wheel. So it looks like it has to come apart and while it's apart........may as well.

I took them off the rods today with my `special BMC service tool'. They are 21250 Hepolites (9.4:1 C/R) +.040"- don't seem to have done much work either. If anybody needs a spare... 8)
