I found this today, not sure how much these are worth, Is $165 cheap or expensive? The model is in mint condition.

I found one in a shop in a better box but same car for $235- ( I don't own it yet!) and was told that was a reasonable price when I spoke to the guys on IMMCC, so this one may not be a bad buy if the car is near mint.

So did you add it to your collection?

Well, I couldnt help myself. I purchased the minor today and it now takes pride of place in my collection.

Does anyone have any photos of the Dinky van from the same era?

Excellent. You should put it under a plastic display box to keep the dust off it if it's not in a display cabinet. Most hobby shops have them. It will keep your investment going up in value. It will help stop every visitor picking it up too. Call me paranoid but I know what happens to them. Looks great.

herald coupe & sedan PLUS I don,t know how many others that I put away about
50 years ago.
This does,nt include my Match box Yesteryear models (most still in boxes & "2"
Hornby wind up trains that are 64 years old.
The things we keep.

I hope you kept the boxes. I had over 40 models
of yesteryear for over 25 years still mint in boxes.
Sadly they didnt really appreciate in value and
most of them I sold for less than I paid. I had
to make room for more minis which I have over 400
of now. I am still saving to try and get some of the
old corgi minis. Your collection sounds great, the trains
would be very rare I would imagine.

I forgot one VERY RARE working model.
In 1957 my late Uncle brought into Australia for me, a full ,radio controlled BUS---no
wires, no cables. Just push the button on the control box & off it goes.
It is still in it,s original box with instructions, battery warranty card , packing , etc.
For something this old which still works, it has to be seen.
I have the Matchbox Yesteryear Lemans Bentley which was valued in an NRMA
open road magazine some years ago for $3500.00-- something to do with the scale
& colour. This has been varified & valued.
I don,t throw too much away.

I have some models of yesteryear still in boxes as well as some matchbox cars and corgi cars in the boxes.
Also have a blue 850 given to me by my aunt when I was in hospital when I was a little kid, no box though.
