I wonder what event it was competing in that caused it to be carrying the number on the grille?
My guess is an economy run. They used to be big things in the 60s.

i find the wooden boards weird, is it a stage, is the guy checking the car and judging it.

It would be the start and finish platform.
If it was a big event like a rally or an economy run it would probably have advertising signs everywhere. (If it was a rally or trial it would have had a navigator!
No stopwatch or flag but only a clipboard lead me to the economy run theory. It is all strange!

To me it looks more like it's being unloaded from a truck on a ramp, and the guy with the clipboard would be checking it off on the consignement note.

I don't buy it.. look at the reflection in the side of the car, it looks rural. Why would a dude with a clipboard be out in the sticks? :lol:
