I did two cars inthe last month.

No RWC cost - club scrutineer inspcedted them at my place. He charged a $20 fee.

Permit was $110.90 if I recall correctly.

That's it. :D

Latest VMCI mag says the new scheme is very close.

Any club scrutineers done my way? At the International Moke Day in Yarragon on Sunday?

$130.90 all up sounds good to me!

Well, I'm certainly looking forward to that! :) Can't wait to be able to use it on the road, it sitting in the corner with the dust/bird poo cover on it looks so sad :(

VMCI require an RWC. But the Toyota Car Club only requires an inspection from one ofd their scrutineers. The cars Im referring to are my MR2 and Corona.

Cheers,

Are there any new updates on the logbook scheme? I've a heard a few people talking about it recently, although one was about motorbikes I think. Has it come in yet, or are there any confirmations on dates? I haven't seen anything.

Thanks, Evan.

log books started arriving in the mail thursday
came with a letter that has to be kept with car for the first 12 months
transitory phase all get 90 days that is for cars already permited
as from 1/2/2011 new permits will have choice 45/90 day
must fill in before you leave home for that day!
do not fill in ahead of time
allowed 100mtr from home.
please play by the rules otherwise screw it up for all

3 of my 4 log books have arrived - it seems they're coming out in numerical order ie last car onto the old permit scheme hasn't got a log book yet

You can drive your car within 100 meters of your home without signing the logbook. I suppose this accounts for parking it on the curb?

It's so you can move it out of the way if you need too. For example if the Club Permit car is blocking access to another car.

and people are already wingeing about the service station being 125m away from home - leave 5 minutes early and fill it up on the way

Thanks very much for the replies.

I'm not yet a VMCi member, but if I join I would be a junior member (16 years) My question is, can a car be put on club registration through my membership in my name, or is it like usual rego and the car has to be in an older person's name. If yes to the latter, can the car be registered in someone else's name (ie. Dad's) but through my membership?

Sorry, I hope that makes sense. Just trying to work out whether it would be better for dad to become a member rather than myself.

Thanks, Evan.
