Now I find on the Fiamm filters page the specs for the Z93 are different to what Ryco says on their page.

Fiamm says the thread is 5/8"-16
Ryco says the thread is M16-x1.5-6H

5/8-16 = 15.85mm x 1.6 pitch.
Michael, there is so little difference between those 2 threads (diameter and pitch) and the thread so short, I'm sure either would screw onto either.

Yeah, I thought "that's keen, ripping an oil filter off your car to answer somone's question. Then I remembered - it's only a montego!"

Best part of it would be that VW gearbox. :P

I think the worst part would be the VW gearbox. It would have the worst gear change on anything I have ever driven. Considering it used to be a driving school car in Melbourne there must be lots of people that know to drive with a very bad gear change.

The best part would be the modified Maniflow LCB extractors. 8)

I thought you would say that 1926 Chev 4 inspired bent pipe inlet manifold...

:P

yeah WTH is going on with the intake on that engine - looks like there's a pipe leading to the cabin???

So are these 1275 A+ auto blocks with a VW box on the end or what?

Even looks like an engineering abomination, just from one engine bay photo!

cheers

Jacob

Well took the list to the local auto stores and they were useless and not able to help out.

Went out to Warrick Agustins and he knew exactly what it was and had one on the shelf we could have.

Ended up being a RYCO Z75

Thanks everyone for their help

Brenton

that's one of the heater hoses.. goes from the water heated intake manifold to the heater. :)

should be manual 4 or 5 speed manual, these motors are nice donors for the mini, if you don't bother on the filter location. Big valve head and lighter A+ rods. This one seems to have an electric choke HIF44, some here were sold with the normal manual choke.

Cheers
Luis
