not like that Harley.

I don't want to ditch my lovely aircon.

if i did not have the sliding windows i would piss the aircon off.

I love the 850 windows they just hold the heat in the car like nothing else.

all you buggers have the quarter windows enjoy that??..... I bet you do.. ;)

Oh moving the condenser, my bad!

Bitch of a job though. Part of the reason that it's always mounted on the drivers side is you want the body mounted condender as far away from the engine mounted compressor as possible so the hoses can flex if necissary.

Why not take the easy way out and put the condenser in the front instead of the radiator?

about 20 years ago i fitted a front mount rad into my turbo charged mini, i used a VW Golf alloy rad (still have it actually)

worked a treat with cool air scoop beside it for carb inlet so no hot rad air entering the carb

a lot of bother for not much benefit in my opinion,,, worked good for the big Hp turbo donk (back in the day) but we`ve shown better results with less money spent & less time wasting on our turbo injected twin-cam engines running up over 160hp with no cooling problems for over 3 years (so far) with the chinese mini alloy rad fitted

I do have one at the front left. takes up to much space.

I did consider having the condenser where the Mpi RAd would kinda be but over to i could change my oil easy, where an oil cooler may sit.

where could i get a thing like that? some one told me that it as the mini one is very thick it's more efficient thicker cores?

a thinner longer front mount one would be great i have no dizzy as im running Mega Jolt.

hmmm.. also avoiding cutting into the left firewall.

Matt's right, all this sounds heavy. Are you having overheating problems NG?

the only difference between 93hp & 160hp is the extra amount of money you need to spend on replacing tyres mate

:-)

Oh & the pucker-phats & facial expressions of the passengers :-)

NG, your wallet must be so overloaded with cash that it's trying to escape on wasted money on your mini, a normal mini radiator has worked for 50 years, why change it???

Doogie (frustrated)

guys! you don't understand what i'm trying to do. :)

im looking to make my set up neater is all.

im not trying to re invent the wheel, just hoped some one, maybe?? had done something like i wanted to do, or had another idea.

like MINIman did with the vw rad.

that means either moving the radiator or moving the condensor.

front mount of some sort.

I know it works all I don't have any heating problems. i'm looking of ways to change my set up so it's tighter & neater.

thats all, so when i pull my engine out it's alot easier.

chinese rad ebay mod said they can do me a custom rad for a mini front mount for the same price if I wanted it.

im thinking for ease a custom condensors?

runs to google.

If you want simple and neat the thing to do is get rid of the AC. Whilst making a new setup can be done it may not work as well or come with its own new problems that are so far unforseen whereby in 6 months you'll be cursing it and wanting to go back to the factory setup.

I understand where you're coming from, I've simplified my engine compartment.
Ditched the booster, sound deadening, moving the computer inside the car, and relocating anything little that is easy enough, but there has to be a limit where you say to yourself that such n such has to stay as it is because it's a good way to do it.

In your case, perhaps look at a later AC setup instead or what you have where the condenser is on the front right guard, not the early setup where it's in the front up the top.
