Steve what have you put .. if anything .. behind your dash. There is obviously a large gap between the firewall and the front.. So did you put any sound deadening or fabrication foam or such?

Some very nice clean, tidy designs on this thread. I'm impressed!

Mine has standard pod and gauges with recycled Rokee bits. Center in matching vinyl, wings in matching paint.

Have since ditched the stick on compass and temp piece by windscreen...was a joke add-on in southern California, Nevada and Arizona when really hot in '06.

Tach on column shroud.

Not sure if you were talking to me, but no I don't have any issues with the dash cards, other than they are getting old and tatty from me removing them about two dozen times. Can be bought new relatively cheaply from Minispares.com. I have a heap of sound deadenning back there though...

Can I just say that looks awesome the way the interior parts are painted to match the bodywork! That is a job well done.

Up to you I suppose... I stuck Dynamat to the firewall then heavy lead lining material that doesn't stick over that before putting in the dash cards.
Sound leaks in from the firewall in the footwell area too so I have dynamatted by whole interior, floors, including rear firewall.

Also you can try those bonnet insulation kits, I put one in and it makes a noticeable difference.

Yeah I wanted to keep it stock looking and original. IMO for a round nose, making too many cosmetic changes to the car sort of ruins it's character abit.

That's a Moto Lita John Cooper steering wheel, they were a standard inclusion for JCW cars apparently? (someone can confirm or deny?) Awesome wheel for a mini to be honest, very comfy and sporty and not too small, not too big.

Carpets from Trufit carpets. Not very fancy and don't 100% truly fit, but good enough. After long consideration I went with dark red instead of black for a more... custom look without being too outlandish.

Yeah I went crazy last month to make Lillee look as good as she goes, for a change

EDIT: I am curious, how many of you noticed that my centre binnacle is 2-3inches further back that a stock mini and is at slightly the wrong angle? Only noticed when I alluded to it? That's good! 8) I have a big weber box welded in there and wanted to still hide this fact inside the car
