This might be a strange thing to post but...

I've got some time off work next week (YAY :)) and I'm wanting to get away for a few days and do a small road trip with my Mini down the Great ocean road but not too sure where to stay...

I'm hoping not to spend too much but I just need somewhere relaxing and soothing... somewhere to veg and hopefully enjoy the sun and beach.

Suggestions anyone? Feel free to post or PM me.

Take a swag or tent and just stop whenever you get tired. I do it on the motorcycle every year :-)

Is it legal to camp wherever you feel like it?

I thought you'd have to book into a campsite.

This Saturday/Sunday, or next Saturday/Sunday?

I'll probably be going near the end of next week. I've been to Apollo Bay a few times and loved it but maybe I should check out Lorne tihs time...

Although tenting it for a few days wouldn't be too bad either :) I'm pretty sure it's legal in certain spots along the GOR.

Thanks for the suggestions guys

It was years ago but I have camped at Wye River and Apollo Bay - right on the beach

port campbell is pretty nice, and the campsite there is pretty good (and cheap!)

the bay at port campbell is weird. you'll see what I mean when you get there, but apparently it's natural
