I can't for the life of me remember, does the battery cable run next to the brake line in the hydro covers or does it normally run external?

Thanks.
:D

No, It runs along a channel in the centre. I dont see any reason why you couldnt put it in with the hydro pipes tho.

Different year cars did different things. I know the late cars it ran down the middle, and was held in by P clips, but the only clips / tags I see under the car are for the fuel, brake and hydro lines, so thought I'd check.

Just got out from under my 68 Cooper S and there is no clips down the middle. The 78 1275LS was the same.

It runs under the cover.
One side has the fuel line and the other side is the battery lead.

I have had a think about this, I belive that 850s had it in a channel along the centre, while hydro cars had the cable in with the pipes, with small sections of plastic strips on the cable for protection. Most clubmans also had the cable under the cover with the brake pipe but I can recall some cars have it running along the centre held in with tags (like in the engine bay) maybe its the vans or early 850s im thinking of? I dont know anymore, my brain doesnt work like it used too, where am I again? The Westgate fell down on friday and im still confused :?

My 69 has clips mounted under the hydro cover on the drivers side parallel to the hydro line clips. All have a little slip of black plastic to prevent chafing.

Thats odd, I rode over it on my motorbike Friday afternoon. I must have been daydreaming too much watching the ships pass under that I missed my ultimate Starsky and Hutch moment across the gap :x I think it was Mary Mackillop who saved me from myself. God bless her cotton sox.

Isn't the other clip for the brake line, not the battery?
:?

Oooh, maybe you're right..everything fits under there however, thats how they came out, and there's no further clips for cables elsewhere I feel pretty sure....I might have to crawl back uder there again...
