Hi All,

I recently upgraded to 1 1/2" SU with a ramflo filter and extractors.
Now, When I turn a left hand corner I have a miss or a flat spot for a few seconds then it picks up and all is good.
Carb is HS4 with AAM needle, Engine is 1100 with 731 cam (it had an ABX needle but it had a poor response). The response is very good through the rev range and turning right, speeding up and slowing down but when turning left it wants to stall.

Any ideas appreciated.

check your float level - I forget which side the bowl is on, but it may be a bit too low so you're losing it when cornering, or too high and it's flooding when cornering... one of the two

Take the bell top of the carb and look in to the jet, the fuel level should be about 2 mm down from the top.

Check fuel pressure and that the jet isn't blocked too......

And then reset your mixture adjustment......

cool - thanks guys.
The bowl is on the drivers side for memory - i will check the float.
The needle is brand new and it has a brand new fuel filter so i'm guessing the jet isn't blocked. When running with the 1-1/4"SU it was OK so i would have thought the pressure is OK but I will check anyway.
Thanks for the tips :D

failing this - i will need to find a road with only right hand corners!!
