Just letting you know.. I was just looking through the minis for sale and asked my long suffering better half who has had to put up with me doing this for two nights in a row now I've found it (at least the pc is in the lounge where we can still communicate).
After seeing clubmn's ad for the round nose, I asked her the seemingly innocent question.."Do we have a spare $1500?" Her reply, gawd love her "We can get it"
not two minutes later spotted 850_van's lux. I asked.."Can we find $4500?" "If you want" came the reply. Gawd I love this women. How many votes do you need for sainthood?

Well I've got a match for your wife.

My husband is very similar. I mention something I want or want to go to and he always manages to find the reasons why I should, and not the reasons why I shouldn't.

He goes to work everyday and I manage to find something to add to my mini.

Don't you worry what the others say, you've found a treasure.

aww, she's awesome. We're about to move in together and looking at buying a house (thus the mini is going to take a little while. We have an agreement. If I work the overtime, I get that money for Charlie)

I said to her that I hope she realises that she'll be a mini widow now. Her reply was "can't I help?" .. --She's one of us now, people-- <insert evil laugh here>

don't mention the chop - yet

LOL :P Yep, have been plonked down on the gulliotine, the blade has dropped and the head is in the basket... I'm a goner.
But until the ring is on the finger the mini should progress. (Being funny if any ladies are reading this don't get mad at me either)

I'm a_man_a_dog_and_a_mini's other half. Just letting you all know that I'm one of those girls who doesn't mind if he goes to the pub instead of coming home, just as long as he brings me a six pack home with him.

If he forgets an anniversary, who cares. He was probably too busy fixing something on the Mini, so all would be forgiven.

There will be no need for him to get the chop. Long story, but if anyone is having their reproductive system messed with, it had better be me, or heads will roll!

After having lost him to this forum for the last few nights, I guess I have had a taste of what's to come once he starts work on Charlie. It will be worth it in the end, especially when he heads off to work, and I drive down to the train station to swap my car for the Mini.......hehehe.

We're even looking at building a place with a double garage. He says it's so my car can go in one side, and he can work on the Mini on the other side. Already I know that the entire garage will be completely consumed with Mini parts and sections of several other Minis.

I happily accept being a Mini widow. After all, it is a Mini we're talking about here!

bugger, she found me. Last time I show her what I'm up to. I'll tell her next time that I'm looking at porn..

Love her to death. She didn't even laugh at me when I said I was getting a square of carpet to park the mini on in the garage. Most people think you're batty until you explain that the amount of time you spend lying on cold concrete reaching under the damn thing it's a good way to avoid chills... people with non British cars just don't understand..

I wish my mum was like that... :(

"Mum can I buy a Mini and do it up in your garage?"
"No"
"Mum can I buy a Mini that runs and keep it out the front of your place and drive it on weekends"
"No"
"Mum can I get parts for my Mini delivered to your place all the time"
"No"

 Maybe I should have asked her BEFORE I bought the van, started doing it up and bought all those bits and pieces off eBay..!!! ha ha ha
