I saw a rotisserie made out of 2 shopping trolleys in the mini experience letter section but cant remember the issue.

Does anyone know the issue number or have a photo of this beast?

the fine is pretty big for stealing shopping trolleys.... I wonder if the person in the mag has had a phone call

I know someone who has shopping trolley wheels on their rotisserie. I think the trolley was 'rescued' from infront of a comission house, then taken home and relieved of it's wheels, and dropped off at the supermarket. Funnily enough, when it was dropped back, it found itself partnered up with another trolley missing it's wheels

Try local scrap dealer. i got two bases complete with wheels without the basket part for $30.00 from local scrap dealer. supermarkets quite often get rid of their bent and twisted ones.

Why in gods name would anyone EVER want shopping trolley wheels.

Shopping trolley wheels are great, I've got a few dollies that are made from chopped down shopping trolleys. I got some of them back in the day when I worked in a Parks department, they would get left in parks and when we called the stores to come get them they never did. So I would just chop the basket off and keep the bottom. They are great to store engines on. Or making carts for welders etc.

they are great - they put up with a hell of a beating

the best ones are at the supermarkets where they have the coin lock mechanism on the trolley - you put $1 in the lock to release it, so you need to return your trolley to get the $1 back. They put the best wheels on these ones cos they won't end up in the creek. I have no idea why all supermarkets don't do it. I've never had a bad trolley at a supermarket in Wodonga because of this!

And $1 is cheap for a good set of trolley wheels

woolworths implemented these at some of there stores but have pulled them in a few places due to people boycotting the store. people find it a nuisance to find change etc and the numbers were significant enough to remove them.

thats wierd.... I much prefer it, nicer trolleys, tidier carparks and they don't end up all over the neighbourhood

heres the set up I made wen I did my resto.. worked like a treat.. sold em years later and I've seen them around the state selling on ebay and at one stage was down in Sydney but I've heard rummours from the mini guys up here its back here again... I could make them again easy once you do it once.. the hardest part is nickin the trollies

Took me about a weekends worth of work with the welder and grinder..

Made it so much easier to work on the floor, as I just flipped the car around, and was great to move the whole thing around like a 2 yr kid and his push car oh and I also made it so that I could adjust how high I wanted the car off the ground with the easy of moving the upright in the box tube with a pin.. (look closely and you will see) in these pics the pin is out and the car on the lowest setting..
