looking at that picture, I can see two pinstripes along the side. Now Inside my doors/body I can see two pinstripes but painted over. removed from outside of the body but the parts that folded around are still there.
Coincidence?? mines a clubby S though

Pinstripes were very common. Maybe factory on the S?
I have an S with the pinstripes.

Sunroof on Ministars' car is def from a Sunshine.

SS def only avail in Nutmeg Metallic (not Metallic Nutmeg) and Omega Navy Metallic.

Only 500 were reportedly built - they sold so well that Leyland changed a couple of minor features, like the colour (Silver Blue Metallic originally, but also Iridium Green Metallic and later Hi-Ho Silver and Nugget Gold - as per the 1275LS) and put LS badges on and sold as a regular model.
Virtually all the SS/LS features were available as extra-cost options on a regular Mini S, so you could easily spec a Mini S up to SS or LS standard, and of course the Mini S came in any colour of the time.

Cheers,
Watto.
