That would be 14yrs of ownership and 8 years of being on the road in this guise, it might have ticked over 11,000 miles by then???

Yep first car, built it from a bare shell at 16 years old. At least Eric Bana's car is something worth while however.

tut tut... with comments like that I'm surprised your mini hasn't buggered off by itself already

I know a cheap way to get torque - I've been having lots and lots of fun with torque the last few weeks

Still wont fix the stret cred issue, and being taken seriously on the road, instead of driving around in a little cutesy car..

See thats a north queensland thing.

If you go and get yourself a big falcon, you just become a very small and very ordinary fish in a very large bogan pond. In a mini you are always credible.

Sell in haste, repent at your leisure...

Street cred??
Once upon a time you used to drive past any school in your Cooper S/lowered lookalike and all the kids would go `Cor! Lookit that' with envy.
But now, I find they just point and laugh!:( [edit] must think they are a clown car.
Where have we failed society. :?

I know I know.. Ive been raising this question on here since I joined in 2004.....

I think this year Ive driven it all of 3 times.... The longest drive would of been up to Kuranda and back, maybe a 30klm round trip? Whats the point in owning it?

I want some street cred, and some torque dammit....

1330 ? , put the compression up to 11.1 , switch to 1 3/4 SU , Wade 240 cam , 1.3 rockers ( Dr Mini's ) , 3:44.1 diff, light flywheel

s'pose it comes down to why have a mini?

I have mine because I like it. Don't give a stuff about anyone else views. As they say, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.

Just don't listen to 'em. Keep your heritage car. It has a cache no modern car comes near.

Oops! That was an opinion wasn't it

take this with the proverbial grain of salt hanra.....

you know when i worked at bunnings i learned that some people already have their mind made up despite sensible better judgement.

sometimes you just have to let a bloke buy a gmc lawnmower because he thinks it's a good thing and won't believe any of the knowledge from someone experienced with them....

maybe we should just let him sell it.

i'll start at $1, do i hear 2?
