the M/C spacer you speak of. I left mine there when I replaced the master, So would removing it still be ok and not let the rod travel too far?
This may be the answer to my adjustment issue. (full disengagement when about 10mm from floor ie, need to have clutch flat to disengage properly)

Yes, but be sure you have the over-throw nuts on and correctly adjusted.

Yea Minisport have done that bit I assume when they did a pressure plate. So making sure that the nuts are adjusted also helps for travel then i guess :)

im having the same problems,. fitted a washer behind the bearing , new 7.5 bore MC, no slop in clevis pins, or arm, no spacer under MC ?? i have not set nuts yet but set the stop bolt, could i be getting too much throw? my car is jacked up off the ground, i started in gear , press the clutch then brake peddle , the clutch is still grabing and the car stalls due to not disengauging
what is my next step to get the clucth to let go

Dodge,
Screw the 2 stop nuts back until you have it sorted, they are the very last thing you adjust.
Set the adjusting bolt .020" gap, with the spring off.
Is the pedal going all the way to the floor? (it is supposed to).

I'm wondering what value the washer under the bearing has??

Many years ago I had a similar problem with a totally non standard clutch. My guru suggested a smaller diameter slave cylinder. I was told it came from a Torana...

Has worked fine since.

Cheers, Ian

AFTER you get the clutch adjusted and working properly, THEN you screw the stop nuts up against the cover with the clutch pushed in, and lock them up. They are simply there to avoid overtravel of the clutch if the clutch hose starts acting funny.
Personally (opens fresh can of worms to go) I've not had the 2 nuts near the cover for the last 15 years.
As you are still trying to get the clutch to work at this stage, leave them well clear of the cover.

My oldest manual shows a washer behind the thrust bearing, I thought that was a new thing due to the newer bearings having a different face.

The later bearings are thick, should not need a washer.
The Timken flat faced bearing was the 850 original, these were not as thick. So, people commonly fit a washer behind them.
Also, this compensates for wear in the clutch arm ball and plunger.

fixed it, as to readys instructions, removed flywheel and machined the lip that is on the back that caused the clutch to sit hard against the C clip on the primary gear.
