Greetings All.
Finally finished my 850 project. Motors all rebuilt, new plugs, points, cap leads etc etc....
Im aware of the port hole and flywheel timing marks, however...?
For my timing light it requires + battery, and I can earth from block. I have a + direct from battery for driving lights. It's not a bright flash like normal? And I can't get a direct point to the timing marks, as the timing light has too big-a pistol type handle. Is there a how-to somewhere I can read up on? If the flash was stronger, would a mirror be the way?

(do the timing, fit the new muffler, bonnet, wiper blades, give it another wash and I'm ready to post a pick (yahoo!)

Alex.

just did mine today, used a mirror flashed my long timing light into hole and leaned over the pass side guard over radiator to back of engine to get a peak at the marks

Thanks Dodge.
I'll try and do it in the dark so I can see better. Have graded lens's in my specks and it's damm hard to get everything in line. (I'm not as flexi as I used to be!)

Cheers
Alex.
