Hi there I am trying to find engine number could some please tell me where I can find it

It is stamped on the block just under No. 1 spark plug (closest to the fan). The is a bit of the block casting that juts out about 12 mm wide and 75 mm long. It should be stamped in to that.

However, if the engine has been overhauled, it is possible that the number has been machined off and so may appear blank.

Also if it is a UK or other market sourced block the number may have originally been stamped on an aluminium plate that was then rivetted to the block in the position mentioned above . If that's the case there will be a hole drilled in either end of the engine number boss/ledge where the number would normally be stampoed . Just talk to your local rego authority and ask their rules for getting a new number stamped , don't try and dodgy it yourself .
