My Moke project has this plate - it use to be a hire car and always was a 4 seater but as with all Mokes the compliance plate says 2 seater (Faint but says 2) - to make them legally able to carry four people then it had to be 'complied' to 4

Hi guys, if you need belts Minisport do them, but Willshire Motor Trimmers are a Klippan dealer so buy direct and will probably have more margin in pricing.

Yes, I used to work there, but speak to Stuwey (username) now.

or phone
08 8292 2500

Nobody else there will really have much of an idea, apart from Stuart.
Trust me!

One more thing that no-one has said yet:

All the seatbelts must be used before sitting in a seat without one.

So if you have one passenger, they must sit in the front.

Two passengers, one in the front, one in the back (not both in the back).

And similarly, if the seatbelt is present, it must be used.

My 1968 Porsche 912 had no seat belts when I bought it - I got so fed up of my arse trying to grab the seats at every slight incident that I bought a set of retractable fronts and adjustable rears. They were reproduction as originals didn't really exist (manual adjustable ones did but they are now out of production).

After a lifetime of wearing seatbelts it just didn't feel right without them!

I think the evidence is in now - seatbelts save life. You'd be mad not to fit them - $100 to save you and your passenger - no debate.

I'm not so convinced about airbags but time will tell I suppose.

I don't think you can put the anchor point in the middle of the parcel shelf. :? Minis are registered as four seaters. Looking at the back seat, the back is shaped into two seats. You need a belt to secure the child seat as well as the anchor - if you put in a belt to suit an anchor in the middle of the seat, you're effectively making the car a 3 seater. Realistically you won't be able to use the outside of the seat, and they won't easily allow you to put in two outer belts along with a centre belt. It's easier just to put an anchor point on each side of the back seat, one for each belt.

Yea true... I'll have to have a good look at it, as there's a pretty good chance that a rearward faceing baby capsule wouldn't fit anyway.
