Just fitted a steering rack by lowering the front subframe and re-fitting. I disconnected the earth strap and the small wires on the pre engaged starter, these have been re-connected now and the engine will crank over but no spark at the plugs or from the coil HT lead :? .
Any ideas what to check :?:

If you un-plugged and took the steering column out and re-fatted after, the electrical plugs on these are not special and often give trouble. Wriggle them about a bit and push them together a bit more and try again. If it works, would be a good idea to give them some further attention.

The Ignition switches also knacker out where you can get them to crank but cut's power to the ignition circuit.

Yours still has a dissy too?

Put a meter or test lamp on the +ve of the coil while your cranking to see if you've got volts there.

Problem solved, one of the five wires coming from the ignition barrel had come loose, plug it back in and Sonic runs again :D
