Tried to fit a set of wiper bushes to my 1970 S with the depressions in the panel with the parts numbered 37H7201 which is correct number by all the books and found that it is not the same as the existing one - wrong angle and too thick - looks right for a Mk1.....

Wrong parts in the pack, or do I need to cut the bush to fit?

Thanks in advance......

The angle of those is incorrect. I linished a set to get it right, using the old one for a template. The 2 bushes in the set are for one spindle. I re-used the original alloy inner bush.

The Doc also can supply the correct ones.

Your welcome.

As a post note, by part number you did buy the right ones, I dunno why, but they are for English Cars...............

All the Mini Suppliers that I have tried have the same ones.......

When I used to reco hundreds of wiper motors at NMP we used new Bosh brushes, part no. GB 710, purchased from Bursons.

- really quite irrivialant information now that I re read the post, sorry if I confused you, I seem quite confused myself at the minute.

I machine both the early (same as UK Mk1) and late Oz type from black HDPE plastic rod.
$20/pr including post.
Mini King also stocks them both.

[edit] I only make the top ones... the bottoms are out of the sun and usually OK.
