Does anyone know how the L & S badges are fixed to the grill on a Leyland Mini LS . Have been told that they use the same plastic inserts as the boot badges ??? , but there aren't any holes in the grill ....cheers

The holes should be there if it is the original LS grill, if not it has been replaced at some point. Just drill some new ones and pust the mouse condoms into the new holes :D .

Exactly what 850man said. When pushing them in you need to support the back though as the grill will let them slip through if the hole is slightly oversize.

Let me know if you need a hand with the correct location. Mind you the factory may have just guessed them in :D It was Leyland after all

Here is a couple of photos that may help, they are from the grill of my 1275LS that I bought in 1984 and I think it is the original grille.

The tape measure is sitting on the centre of the stud that holds the middle badge in place, it is as close to centre as I can get it without removing the badge.

As you can see the badges are poked into the little plastic condom which are poked into the grille.
