Hi Guys,
with all the rain in sunny Victoria lately my wipers have been getting a real workout.

Since owning my deluxe (which I suspect has been rebodied with a Mini K) the drivers side wiper arm has always had quite a pronounced kink in it as if someone has bent it to fit.

I know know why, as the wiper arm occasionally fouls on the roof and jams. I tried re bending the arm but it wasn't pretty, (I think it was more to do with standing on the side of the freeway in the teeming rain).

Can anyone please advise which would be the correct wiper arm if I want to replace it. I had a look on the Minispares website but was bamboozled by all the choice.

Thanks.

NONE of the arms on the Minispares website are correct for an Oz Mini 1968>. The wiper spindles are in different spots to UK cars.
I bought a pair of their TEX LH park ones (SS) and had to bend the end of the arms. They work OK now, but are pretty short in the blade....

Thanks Doc, was there a change in the wipers from 1968 to 1970?

mid 68 the Oz cars all got LH park and recessed spindles. They stayed the same until 1978, end of production. :(

Hi Doc,
So this makes mine a late 68 deluxe then?

I did assume until now it was an early 68 as it's origanal colour was snow white which was a 67 colour on the dulon charts. Maybe they were still using left over paint from 67, durin 68 :)

Yep that scuttle panel is mid 68 on.
Colour charts by year are not gospel, there were some anomalies year to year.

They changed the wipers at car number 32800 around the middle of 68.
How does that match up with your car number?

Snow White was a very common colour in 68. I have a Snow White 68 Morris 1100 Automatic.
