sorting out the orientation of all the various inlet, exhaust & center bearing housings to place the turbo in exactly the right spot,,, not much room inside a mini engine bay so this part is sooper-dooper important to get it right before fitting the engine into the hole--->

Image

This shot shows all that sorted & mounted now,,, & the waste-gate diaphram & acctuator is also arranged & mounted,,, also the inlet plenum/manifold almost finished,,, lots of pollishing been going on too :-) --->

Oooh shiney 8) ,

How much room is there between the exhaust pipe (looks like a very large bore) and the drive shafts or do you use hardy spicers?

What size turbo are you using Matt?

Got any photos of the front with the intake plenum?

Thanks.

Looks great. Makes me feel like ditch the Hoda / Suzuki conversion and go wit one of these.

here`s a pic of quite a few of the turbo & N/A manifolds/extractors & their Jigs that we had made, & some of the plenum chambers/inlet manifolds we make

Image

it`s a very old pic tho & these days we have "refined" a few things along the way so they`re looking even "Prettier" & working far better now too

this one is an 8V

turbo is a Garrett GT2560Rs ball bearing jobby good for well over 200Hp (if you want to go that hard that is) very mild, no lag , smooth as a babies bottom :-) check out the Blue Moke in mini Experience magazine,,, same set up except it`s 16v

plenty of room for the dump pipe to inner pot or hardy spicers,,, no dramas,,, that`s why we Jig all the pipes

& Marc i wish it were yours, cause that would mean you owe me about $17,500 :-)

Jokes aside that is soooo much cooler looking than many other engine conversions

Disclaimer : I appreciate all conversions of all shapes, sizes and colours but ... thats sweet

NG,,, not trying to give SC any run for their money,,, he does his stuff , i do mine,,, that`s all

willy,,, thanks mate

Gafmo,,, Not much different to the last few,,, we sorted it all on the first turbo twinky (yes it took ages i know) & now we have things pretty solid & fast & smooth & reliable (So far... touch wood,,, crossing fingers & toes) now we just stick to what we know works well for the road
But the full race version is still being developed,,, way too much time spent already but havn`t finished finding the limit yet so we`re still "Playing" with heads & manifolds & cams & valves & & & & & :-) ;-) :-)

Hanra,,, no clearance issues at all to the bulk head, plenty of room (well enough anyways)

Marc,,, thanks for the possitive-ness bro,,, i`ll drop the price down $3.50 for your engine :-)
